FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for accurate processing of GICs, insurance and claims. Mutual funds & securities experience an asset. 
  • Prepare materials for client meetings (statements, spreadsheets, forms etc)
  • Log & follow-up on all processing on client database.
  • Research and resolve all processing or customer service problems.
  • Assist with marketing-newsletters, client appreciation functions, quarterly statements, e-mails, filing, preparing letters etc.
  • Perform other general office duties as required. Reception duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference given to experience operating for an independent financial advisor covering a wide range of financial instruments.
  • Previous GIC, insurance, mutual fund & securities processing experience. Aptitude working with numbers.
  • Completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course or Canadian Securities Course an asset.
  • Great organization skills-ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced small office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills oral and written. High level customer service skills
  • Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in GICs, insurance, mutual funds, securities industry.
  • Mutual fund/Securities processing preferred with a dealer or branch.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary range $35,000 - $40,000
